Last month, nearly 90 from the DHT and the Anglican Province of Christ the King watched as Bp. Scarlett ordained Fr. Drew Harrah at St. Matthew’s in Newport. Fr. Harrah previously served at St. Thomas in Fullerton as an acolyte and subdeacon. He recently completed a curacy at Christ Anglican in Carefree and is now vicar of St. Alban’s, both APCK parishes near Phoenix.

At this month’s Synod, the diocese approved the formation of the new Domestic Missions Committee. Its priorities will include creating a process for establishing new missions, prioritizing specific areas for new missions, and strengthening ties to existing Continuing parishes within our territory.

This Friday, congregations from around the diocese will gather for our 48th annual Synod.

The Colorado Mission Community is the newest congregation in the Diocese of the Holy Trinity. They are worshipping together every month in Erie, Colorado, and their next gathering will be Sunday, May 26.

In March and April, two parishes in the diocese — St. Matthew’s Newport Beach and St. Mary’s Denver — together reported eight baptisms and six confirmations into the church.

As with other Christians throughout the world, parishes and missions around the Diocese of the Holy Trinity are again preparing to offer special worship services and liturgies for Holy Week.

Throughout the diocese, parishes will be offering special programs, worship services and other activities for the annual observance of Lent, which begins with Ash Wednesday on February 14.

On January 14, Bp. Scarlett confirmed eight adults at St. Matthew’s Church in Newport Beach.

During fall, Bp. Scarlett visited two parishes to perform confirmations. At St. Mary Magdalene, he confirmed four and also received four into the church. At Saint Joseph parish, he confirmed three. Both visits include an all-parish celebration afterwards.

The newest congregation in the Diocese of the Holy Trinity, St. Thomas Anglican in Fullerton, recently celebrated its third wedding.
