St. Thomas Celebrates Third Wedding

The newest congregation in the Diocese of the Holy Trinity, St. Thomas Anglican recently celebrated its third marriage ceremony since it began Sunday worship in 2020.

On Saturday October 28, Madison Paige Seyfarth and Pierce Andrew Singgih were joined in Holy Matrimony on Saturday, the 28th of October. The ceremony was officiated by Fr. Kevin Craik, vicar of St. Thomas. He was assisted by Bp. Stephen Scarlett and Fr. Hayden Butler of St. Matthew’s Church.

It was an especially joyful day with a multitude of generations present as this young couple started their life together. The groom and his men were stylish, all in dark blue suits. The bride’s attendants were dressed in individual vibrant toned dresses with matching bouquets. The bride wore an exquisite a-line satin dress which she designed and crafted herself. Completing her look was a Juliet cap veil of chapel length. She was a picturesque example of all the radiance and hope of youth.

The weather cooperated, with a perfect California warm autumn day. The reception was decorated in dark blue and gold. Table centerpieces were a reminder of the fruits of the fall harvest. A glorious cornucopia of pomegranates, litchi fruit, oranges, grapes, and persimmons.

We wish Maddi and Pierce success and join our thoughts with the closing prayer of the ceremony:

God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Ghost, bless, preserve, and keep you; the Lord mercifully with his favour look upon you, and fill you with all spiritual benediction and grace; that ye may so live together in this life, that in the world to come ye may have life everlasting. (Book of Common Prayer, p. 304)
