Eight Confirmed in Newport

On January 14, Bp. Scarlett performed adult confirmations at St. Matthew’s Church in Newport Beach.

A total of eight adults were confirmed at the 9:00 a.m. service, of which two were recently baptized at St. Matthew’s. All had completed the Fall Inquirers’ Class, which was taught by the St. Matthew’s clergy from mid-October to mid-December.

The confirmation attracted supporters from within and without the parish. Afterwards, the confirmands were informally celebrated at the regular Sunday morning coffee hour.
